Young translators' coaching

If you are still a student (Master's degree, translation institute, etc.) or have just graduated, or if you are retraining and would like to start translating, we can offer a tailor-made approach:

- Taking stock of your skills and goals: defining your own value and where you want to go.

- Career start-up: paperwork involved in setting up a business, necessary investments (equipment, CAT tools, personal investment, etc.), administrative issues (status, invoicing, accounting, etc.), market research.

- Networking and customer acquisition.

- APPLIED TRANSLATION :

* Getting to grips with SDL Studio (TRADOS) and other CAT tools (MemSource/Phrase): new project/translation memory, document alignment, file analysis, translation/revision process, etc.

* Typography: not all countries use the same rules, and some international organizations have their own guidelines.

* Glossaries and terminology

work on specialized texts according to instructions set in advance, proofreading and debriefing (long deadlines at first, gradually reduced until an “emergency” situation is reached, where the translator will have to deliver quality work within tight deadlines. The difficulty level will increase progressively).
